The Basics of Soul Contracts, Explained

I’m always talking about soul contracts, and I find most people don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. So, I thought it would be a good idea to explain the fundamentals of soul contracts. Keep in mind this post is going to lay out the groundwork as I believe to be true based on my own experiences and beliefs. Other’s may feel differently about how it works, so this is just one opinion of what I am sure is many, because unfortunately while we are having this human experience, we will never really know for sure. In the future, I will most likely end up writing something a little more intermediate. For now, let’s stick to the basics and get on with it!

Before we incarnate into the physical world, we are our truest form, our spiritual selves. As a spiritual being, it is our goal to learn as much as we can about everything. From being a human to just pure existence. To learn anything to its greatest potential, we have to experience it. Before we make our way into this world, there’s a whole lot of deals being made, and contracts being drawn up. Which, may or may not be referred to as the same thing. This is what we know it as in our human form.

The deals we make, are with other spiritual beings, and we either agree to learn something from another or teach something to another. Once an agreement has been made, a contract is created, based on these contracts. We have many contracts with many different beings. We are presented with options of parents, these parents that we are presented are in alignment with the contracts we have. Which will set us up to learn whatever it is we agreed on.

Before I let you go, there is a caveat each, for the students and the teachers. Let’s face it we can’t talk about spirituality without any twists because that’s how the universe likes to play. The first is for us as learners. The lessons we agree to learn are not going to show up and say “Hey! I’m lesson 1, complete me and have me handed in by Friday noon”, oh no. The lessons show up like shit storms. The bigger the storm, the harder and more important the lesson.

Sometimes the ones that teach end up in the shit storm too. Which brings me to the second caveat. Sometimes the ones that are supposed to teach these lessons, have a hard time because either their “student” is not open to learning. Or sometimes teaching someone means being a bad example. for instance someone who struggles with addiction has a baby. That child can grow up to either becomes an addict or doesn’t because of what they went through growing up.

This can sound a bit messy to someone who has never heard of this before, and it may seem like a lot to swallow, but keep in mind there are many more layers to this, and the more time I spend in the spirit world the more layers I peel and discover. I hope this has clarified some things for you all, if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments, and if you have a different interpretation of how you view this, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below as well!
